Guardian­ship for all left-be­hind chil­dren

Eight min­istries, in­clud­ing the Min­istry of Civil Af­fairs, jointly en­acted a year­long spe­cial mis­sion to help left­be­hind chil­dren in ru­ral China start­ing in Novem­ber. With a fo­cus on se­cur­ing fam­ily guardian­ship of the chil­dren, pre­vent­ing them from drop­ping out of school, and grant­ing them valid house­hold reg­is­tra­tion, the oper­a­tion is ex­pected to put all left-be­hind chil­dren un­der proper guardian­ship by the end of 2017.
