Fake prize draw con men detained

China Daily (USA) - - CHINA -

Two men have been detained in Ningbo city after they allegedly ran a fake prize draw at a local agricultural bazaar. The men were exposed by a housewife, surnamed Li, who lost more than 10,000 yuan ($1,450) in the draw. She told them she wanted to buy more tickets, and asked the pair to accompany her to a nearby bank so she could withdraw more money. Worried that their fraud would be exposed, the two men made a break for it, but they were later detained following a police investigation.
