Thurs­day Startup launches land­line phone with video

A Chi­nese startup re­cently launched a smart tele­phone with op­ti­mized video call fea­tures that tar­get both house­hold and busi­ness sec­tors.

Dubbed “QLove H1, the smart land­line tele­phone”, it was in­vented by Bei­jing Shu Zi Jia Yuan Tech­nol­ogy Ltd.

Built as a stand­alone mir­ror, it re­ceived the “iF Prod­uct De­sign Award 2016”, also known as the “De­sign Os­car”.

The newly launched gad­get has an af­ford­able price and cus­tomer-cen­tered fea­tures. Its real-time video com­mu­ni­ca­tions is tar­geted at both in­di­vid­ual cus­tomers and com­pa­nies.

Wu Wen­liang, co-founder and se­nior vice-pres­i­dent of the com­pany said the de­vice will not only sup­port Skype-like chat ap­pli­ca­tions and other ba­sic en­ter­tain­ment apps, but spe­cial­ized apps that pro­vide doorto-door de­liv­ery and on­line health­care ser­vices will also be avail­able for cus­tomiza­tion.
