Spinning a giant trompo

More than 50 whipping top enthusiasts gather to whip a giant top in turn at a plaza in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Sunday. Gao Wei, a local enthusiast, invested 100,000 yuan ($14,992) in the making of the trompo, with the wood being imported from Australia, weighing nearly 500 kg.
