Man detained over bullet-train blaze

An 80-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of setting fire on a Shinkansen bullet train in Okayama, local police said on Friday. Yasuhiro Watanabe, who was sitting in the front carriage of the eightcar train headed for Kagoshima-Chuo Station in southwest Japan, reportedly set fire to papers using a cigarette lighter. Along with the papers, part of a seat was also burned.
