Luke El­der has been ap­pointed ex­ec­u­tive chef of Grand Hy­att Shenyang.


For­mer French president Ni­co­las Sarkozy was wel­comed by Brice Pean, gen­eral man­ager of Sun­rise Kempin­ski Ho­tel in Bei­jing, dur­ing his stay at the ho­tel last week. Renowned pi­anist Lang Lang was wel­comed by Uli Al­trichter, di­rec­tor of sales and mar­ket­ing at Re­gent Bei­jing, dur­ing his stay in the ho­tel. Lang gave a pi­ano les­son at the Bei­jing Na­tional Cen­ter for the Per­form­ing Arts in mid-Au­gust, as part of the cel­e­bra­tion of the 10th an­niver­sary of its Clas­si­cal Art Lec­tures se­ries. Pop­u­lar Ja­panese model and ac­tress Kiko Mizuhara was wel­comed by Chris Tsoi, gen­eral man­ager of The St. Regis Shang­hai Jing’an, when she vis­ited the newly opened ho­tel.


Nuo Ho­tel Bei­jing served as the of­fi­cial ho­tel part­ner to Bri­tish Polo Day China on Sept 3, as the BPD Global Se­ries re­turned to Bei­jing’s Tang Polo Club for the sev­enth time. The ho­tel de­ployed its team of culi­nary pro­fes­sion­als to cre­ate multi-course cater­ing fit for the oc­ca­sion.
