Art: ‘Low-car­bon’ sculp­tures cre­ate green gar­den in Beijing

Sculp­tures made with waste ma­te­ri­als have found a home in Beijing. An art space, named the Beijing Low Car­bon Sculp­ture Gar­den, opened on Nov 7, fea­tur­ing 24 pieces made from con­crete mixed with min­ing and in­dus­trial waste. The re­sult­ing ma­te­rial is solid, durable and can be shaped into works with both fine and rough sur­faces.
