Intelligent manufacturing in China
China’s State Council has unveiled a ten-year national plan in 2015, Made in China 2025, designed to transform China from a manufacturing giant into a high-tech manufacturing power. The 18th CPC National Congress called for further integration of informatization and industrialization, as a way to boost manufacturing. That’s what “Made in China 2025” focuses on, and aspires to achieve. Intelligent manufacturing is based on internet of things, cloud computing, and big data. These technologies will be involved in every aspect of the manufacturing process, to realize machine optimized decisions. China is looking to integrate information technology even more in order to help its factories climb up the value chain. Haier’s internet factories and COSMOPlat could be regarded as successful practices in this field.
