Ex­hi­bi­tion of Works by Yu Youhan be­tween and

Born in Shanghai in 1943, Yu Youhan was a van­guard of con­tem­po­rary Chi­nese art dur­ing the 1980s and 90s and is con­sid­ered a mas­ter ab­stract painter of mod­ern China.

This ex­hi­bi­tion show­cases sketches from his early stage in five parts, sep­a­rated by time and sub­ject: North­ern Ru­ral Area, School of Arts and Crafts, Streets in Shanghai, Other Places, and Still Life, rang­ing from 1973 when he started his draw­ing life in Li­cun Vil­lage, Shi­ji­azhuang of He­bei Prov­ince to the 1980s when he be­gan sketch­ing still life.
