Temple under the Stars

China Scenic - - LENS - Photo/ Khabu

Tibet, ancient and mysterious, draws countless photographers with its monasteries, ancient relics, sacred lakes and mountains, but few of these visitors have ever captured its nocturnal life and scenery. For Khabu, a photographer who is fascinated by the Tibet under the stars, once the sun falls, the hidden world of Tibet emerges. In his eyes, the moon and stars have enhanced the nature of a temple: tranquility, peace and being removed from the mundane world. Standing still under the stars, the Toling Temple and the rotating paths of the stars form a contrast between peaceful stillness and eternal movement.
