Delicacies of Changbai Forests

China Scenic - - CONTENTS - By Ruan Renyi

In Chinese, there is a term for “delicacy”— shanzhen, which literally means “mountain treasure”. Now it refers to wild herbs, mushrooms and other foodstuffs that can be gathered in the forests. The vast forests of Changbai Mountains in China’s northeast harbor a great diversity of these delicacies.
