China Scenic - - SPECIAL REPORT -

Wanfang Anhe (Peace and Harmony Everywhere or “Swastika House”) was constructed during the early period of the Yongzheng Emperor’s rule. The white marble base of the building lies in the middle of water, and there are 33 interconnecting halls. The entire construction forms a“卍”,a symbol of peace and harmony in the Buddhist tradition. The Bafang Pavilion (Eight-square Pavilion) adopted square columns instead of traditional round columns.
