The grand waterfall of Chishui is the largest waterfall landscape that developed in China’s Danxia areas so far. The place where it runs belongs to the subtropical warm template zone with an annual precipitation between 120 and 1,300 millimeters. The bedrock here consists mainly of red sandstone and mudstone that are both low in permeability, hence providing this area with rich water resources in the ground. Photo/ Bian Yupeng
