China has not set a GDP growth target for this year and will take a slew of forceful financial measures this year to shore up the economy, which has been dragged down by the COVID-19 epidemic, according to the government work report delivered by Premier Li Keqiang. But it does not mean that economic development is not important.

The government hopes that the economic growth could deliver more real gains to the people and promote higher quality development in China.
