【Interpretation】According to Cao Lei, sharing economy may massively activate economic surplus to stimulate economic effectiveness, which will inject powerful fresh drive to economic growth and which helps the Chinese economy to realize “engine shift” by turning the service sector into the “major engine” for economic growth. Moreover, the sharing economy wave is sweeping across the world and the number of platform companies keeps increasing. As the sharing sectors are expanding and the market scale is growing rapidly, a batch of “unicorn” companies has sprung up and industrial competition is becoming fiercer with changing competition pattern.
E-commerce in rural areas
【Premier’s work report】To facilitate the communities and rural areas have better access to e-commerce and express delivery services .
【Interpretation】According to Cao Lei, demands in the rural market have been suppressed due to the small number of physical stores, thus releasing demands of the rural market plays a significant role in expanding domestic demands and boosting economy. Consequently, it is of no doubt that the State will greatly support e-commerce in the rural areas. Driven by policies, the government will continue o support rural e-commerce to drive the rural economy and will push forward commercialization of farm products, rural industrial products and rural tourism service. And the retail volume in the rural areas will continue to increase. Against such a backdrop, the China E-business Research Center is compiling Internet + Agriculture, the first work regarding rural e-commerce in China, and the Internet e-commerce companies as well as companies related with agriculture and farm products along the industrial chain are highly appreciated for providing cases, among which the excellent cases will be selected as research examples.
