he Chinese and Israeli governments are working closely to establish a top-level mechanism for cooperation between the two nations.
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced an innovative comprehensive partnership between the two countries in Beijing on March 21.
Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang said that China and Israel had agreed to deepen cooperation in innovation. The China-israel Joint Committee on Innovation Cooperation has played an important role in guiding the innovation development between the two nations, said Wan.
According to Wan, China has been Israel’s largest trade partner in Asia and Sino-israeli trade will continue to have bright future prospects.
During the visit, Netanyahu met the chiefs of 11 Chinese large companies, including Jack Ma, chairman of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, Liu Chuanzhi, chairman of Lenovo Group Ltd, Wang Jianlin, chairman of Dalian Wanda Group Co and Zong Qinghou, chairman of Hangzhou Wahaha Group.
Netanyahu said that Israel is a “technological global power” and aspires to be “the perfect junior partner” to Chinese investors.
According to him, the signing of the FTA will facilitate Israeli companies to invest in China and sell their an increasing amount of their products in China, which is important to Israel.
The prime minister also expected the FTA to improve the match of driverless car may ensure a safer tour with less time.
Netanyahu elaborated on Israeli medical data card, a practical technology that helps people live longer and healthier.
He said that 98% of Israeli people have their personalized medical cards with computerized data, which can help save more time and money.
They fit perfectly into the needs of China and its plans to grow and develop, Netanyahu added. The prime minister also spoke highly of the Chinese people for their “traditional pursuit of scholarship, excellence, and entrepreneurship.”
