On June 10, the Astana Expo will officially open and with the biggest exhibition area China’s Pavilion will theme around “Future Energy, Green Silk Road” to deliver China’s practices and reflection about developing new energy. Foton Motor Group, which is dedicated to pursuing green manufacturing, has also participated in this year’s expo.

“World exposition is an important international platform with great influence side by side with the Olympic Games. In the meantime, Foton is committed to building world-level Chinese commercial vehicle brand and this positioning conforms to our development demand and objective. From the perspective of brand philosophy, Foton is working on developing new technology and energy conservation & environment protection in recent years, which is highly consistent with the Expo theme “Future Energy, Green Silk Road”. This helps Foton to seek a good entry point at the platform established by the Expo,” said Wan. Explore the Kazakhstan market and seek new opportunities together with local business partners
The host country of this year’s Expo Kazakhstan is a significant link along the “Belt and Road” and it is also an important target country for China’s international production cooperation. Wan regards that although economic development has slowed down in Kazakhstan over the past few years, the nation possesses favorable geographical location, rich energy and mineral resources as well as tremendous potential opportunities for infrastructure construction. For the Chinese companies to “go global”, Kazakhstan is an important overseas market and the Chinese companies will embrace great opportunities in future.
“So far, Foton invested much in Kazakhstan, but we have carried out in- depth business cooperation with the local partners. I think Kazakhstan promises great development potential. In future, Foton will intensify efforts to invest in and explore into the local market, and it will provide quality products for the local users and seek new opportunities together with local business partners.”
Meanwhile, Wan added that the unstable exchange rate in Kazakhstan during the recent years has posed some impact to the Chinese companies in Kazakhstan. Therefore, the Chinese companies have to be cautious to the exchange rate risk when making investments in Kazakhstan. Foton will make full use the “Belt and Road” platform to build Chinese brands
As a commercial vehicle manufacturer in China, Foton pays attention to the implementation of the national “Belt and Road” initiative and it is also the pioneer of the “Belt and Road” initiative. Wan said that with the implementation of the national “Belt and Road” initiative, Foton adapts to the “Belt and Road” development, integrates green manufacturing technologies into manufacturing and keeps upgrading new energy technologies.
