Zhe­jiang Strives to be the Na­tional Clean En­ergy Demon­stra­tion Prov­ince

In2014,Zhe­jiangC PC Pro­vin­cial Com­mit­tee and gov­ern­ment raised the strat­egy to build Zhe­jiang into na­tional clean en­ergy demon­stra­tion prov­ince within 10 years.

The re­cent two years have seen great progress in the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the above strat­egy. The en­ergy con­sump­tion vol­ume has been un­der con­trol, the pro­por­tion of non-oil and chem­i­cal en­ergy and the clean en­ergy utiliza­tion of oil and chem­i­cal en­ergy keeps im­prov­ing, the pro­por­tion of coal con­sump­tion, en­ergy con­sump­tion per GDP unit and the emis­sion of CO2, SO2, nitro­gen ox­ide, smoke and dust keep de­clin­ing.

Key clean en­ergy project un­der pro­mo­tion. Zhe­jiang Prov­ince has in­vested al­most RMB 100 bil­lion in key clean en­ergy projects. Fangji­ashan Nu­clear Power No.2 Unit and Xianju pumped stor­age power sta­tion have fin­ished con­struc­tion and started op­er­a­tion. The nat­u­ral gas pipe­lines link­ing Ningbo, Taizhou and Wen­zhou, Jin­hua, Lishui and Wen­zhou have fin­ished con­struc­tions. The Phase-i project of San­men nu­clear power sta­tion started op­er­a­tion and first-phase of Cang­nan San’ao nu­clear power sta­tion is run­ning smoothly. Chang­long­shan pumped stor­age power sta­tion and Ning­hai pumped stor­age power sta­tion have started con­struc­tion. Ning­dong-zhe­jiang UHVDC project has been com­pleted. The new added elec­tric­ity line of 110 KV or above stretched 4,267 km, the sub­sta­tion ca­pac­ity reached 38.08 mil­lion KAV and the elec­tric­ity net­work up­grad­ing net­work is launch­ing into con­struc­tion.

Re­place­ment and up­grad­ing of chem­i­cal en­ergy clean­ing un­der full pro­mo­tion. The first is the clean mod­i­fi­ca­tion of coal power units. It started such ini­tia­tive as the first prov­ince in China, with the com­ple­tion rate of 86%. The sec­ond is that the re­duc­tion and re­place­ment of coal con­sump­tion have gained na­tional recog­ni­tion. The third is that the stan­dard for elim­i­na­tion and up­grad­ing of coal burn­ing boil­ers is stricter than na­tional re­quire­ments, with the com­ple­tion rate of 84.2%.
