Chi­nese Edi­tion of ICC In­tel­lec­tual Prop­erty Roadmap 2017 re­leased

The In­ter­na­tional Cham­ber of Com­merce (ICC) re­cently re­leased the Chi­nese edi­tion of its flag­ship pub­li­ca­tion, the ICC In­tel­lec­tual Prop­erty Roadmap 2017.

The Roadmap pro­vides busi­ness com­mu­nity and pol­icy-makers with com­pre­hen­sive and con­cise over­view of ma­jor global in­tel­lec­tual prop­erty pol­icy is­sues.

The 2017 edi­tion is the 13th of its kind since the roadmap was first pub­lished.

The Chi­nese edi­tion, trans­lated by the Patent and Trade­mark Law Of­fice of China Coun­cil for the Pro­mo­tion of In­ter­na­tional Trade was al­ready re­leased on the of­fi­cial ICC web­site.

The Roadmap 2017, com­piled by nearly 80 in­tel­lec­tual prop­erty ex­perts from across the world, saw new de­vel­op­ments that have ex­erted in­flu­ence on the in­tel­lec­tual prop­erty com­mu­nity. There­fore, the Roadmap 2017 has been up­dated based on the pre­vi­ous edi­tion. The sec­tions on valu­a­tion and mon­e­ti­za­tion of IP as­sets, patents and stan­dards, de­signs, trade­mark re­stric­tions on pack­ag­ing, do­main names, plant va­ri­eties, in­for­ma­tion prod­ucts, sus­tain­able devel­op­ment, cli­mate change, in­no­va­tion and com­pe­ti­tion have been largely rewrit­ten.

Pub­lished ever y two to three years, the IP Roadmap has been trans­lated into Ara­bic, Chi­nese, French, Ger­man, Por­tuguese, Rus­sian, Span­ish, Turk­ish, and other lan­guages.
