2018 Silk Road China-europe Investment Forum held
The 2018 Silk Road China- Europe Investment Forum was held in Fuzhou on May 18. More than 200 delegates of enterprises from China, Belarus, Italy, Portugal and Hungary discussed the investment cooperation outlook and opportunities between China and European countries under the Belt and Road Initiative.
As a sideline event of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Expo and the 20th Cross- Straits Fair for Economy and Trade, this forum was aimed at deepening the economic and trade cooperation between China and relevant countries and promoting the China-europe two-way investment.
When addressing the forum, Chen Zhou, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, which hosted the forum, said that the CCPIT, as China’s largest trade promotion agency, has long been dedicated to promoting China-foreign business exchanges and developing good relations with foreign embassies in China.
“The CCPIT will build more trade and investment promotion platforms, foster information, commercial and legal services and facilitate two-way investment. The CCPIT will work with the governments, chambers of commerce, etc., of European countries to create more cooperation opportunities for both sides to achieve mutual benefits and win-win development,” added Chen. Business and trade officials from the embassies of Belarus, Italy, Portugal and Hungary provided briefs on the respective business environments, investment policies and investment projects.
