Sakura Strawberries

Crave - - THE EDIT -

White in winter, with a dab of blush in spring, aptly named sakura strawberries hail from Karatsu in Saga prefecture, and are similar to other white varieties, including snow rabbit (yuki usagi) and fruit of the angel (tenshi no mi). Its distinctive pale flesh – a result of restricted sunlight – is juicy with an intense sweet aroma and a mild tartness. There is more to this fruit than meets the eye.
