My favourite Crave cover is…
I like the simple covers, like the “Wild About Rice” and “All About Eggs” issues, but the Bites of Distinction image is very sticky – it’s simple, fun and imaginative, and the juxtapositions remind me of Carl Warner’s food landscapes.
How did you find out about Crave?
We were looking for media that specialised in F&B and the list for Hong Kong and Macau is quite limited. I knew of Crave already and we reached out to the management team to get more involved. Carmen met us in Macau and introduced us to the magazine and that was that.
My most memorable moment with Crave is…
Christmas 2015. We decided in 2013 to make an annual thank-you ad for our guests that featured all of our chefs together. Of these, my favourite was the 2015 shoot and resulting ad.
What do you like most about the magazine?
Everything. The magazine has expanded over the years to include more lifestyle articles, but the core passion for gastronomy is always upfront and the photography is beautiful. The themed issues also created a great library for our team to use for inspiration.
Last but not least…
I’d just like to say thank you to everyone at Crave for their hard work and dedication to promoting the trade over the years. Crave will be missed but not forgotten. I look forward to the next chapter.
