A TASTE OF THAILAND IN TAIPEI
In honor of Thailand’s Songkran Festival, the Sheraton Grande Taipei’s Sukhothai Restaurant is celebrating with special treats on and off the menu. Taking place this year on April 11 to 20, the Thai New Year celebration includes throwing water on others for luck and making wishes on flowers then releasing them in water. Guests can also make a wish at Sukhothai by picking a flower and placing it in the restaurant’s pool, or just taking a dab of water for luck. Inside, the restaurant’s Thai chef has prepared special authentic treats only served during Songkran to complement the usual menu of traditional dishes such as curry crab and pad Thai.
