In honor of Thai­land’s Songkran Fes­ti­val, the Sher­a­ton Grande Taipei’s Sukhothai Restau­rant is cel­e­brat­ing with spe­cial treats on and off the menu. Tak­ing place this year on April 11 to 20, the Thai New Year cel­e­bra­tion in­cludes throw­ing wa­ter on oth­ers for luck and mak­ing wishes on flow­ers then re­leas­ing them in wa­ter. Guests can also make a wish at Sukhothai by pick­ing a flower and plac­ing it in the restau­rant’s pool, or just tak­ing a dab of wa­ter for luck. In­side, the restau­rant’s Thai chef has pre­pared spe­cial au­then­tic treats only served dur­ing Songkran to com­ple­ment the usual menu of tra­di­tional dishes such as curry crab and pad Thai.
