An award-win­ning Hong Kong–based Aus­tralian pho­tog­ra­pher, Walsh loves ex­plor­ing off-the-beaten track des­ti­na­tions and ex­am­in­ing the cul­tural jux­ta­po­si­tions be­tween tradition and moder­nity. “You see a lot of that on Viet­nam’s largest is­land, Phu Quoc, where you have ev­ery­thing from the heady heights of the new JW Mar­riott re­sort to the fish-sauce fac­to­ries of yesteryear. It’s an in­tox­i­cat­ing blend.
