“I have no re­li­gion. I down­loaded the videos out of per­sonal cu­rios­ity. I did not share them with others.” So said a 41-year-old man sur­named Li, a staff mem­ber at a lo­gis­tics com­pany in Bei­jing. Be­tween June 2015 and March 2016, Li down­loaded nine videos and one photo con­tain­ing ter­ror­ist and rad­i­cal re­li­gious doc­trines from over­seas web­sites and stored them on his com­puter and lap­top. The Bei­jing Sec­ond In­ter­me­di­ate Peo­ple’s Court re­cently sen­tenced Li to eight months in prison and fined him 1,000 yuan ($145). (Source: The Bei­jing Morn­ing Post)
