So said a wo­man sur­named Gao who lives in a res­i­den­tial com­pound in Chaoyang dis­trict. Re­cently, many res­i­dents com­plained about a prop­erty owner who il­le­gally dug a hole in front of the build­ing he lives in, ex­pos­ing a gas pipe. The owner also used wa­ter from a fire hose to do con­struc­tion work. The hole is one meter deep. The prop­erty man­age­ment of the com­pound tried and failed to stop him sev­eral times. Some res­i­dents also spoke to him, but he said he wasn’t afraid of be­ing sued. Ur­ban man­age­ment of­fi­cials have asked the man to re­fill the hole within a spec­i­fied time.
