Ja­pan: En­vi­ron­men­tal Goods Agree­ment sem­i­nar opens

The En­vi­ron­men­tal Goods Agree­ment (EGA) Beijing Sym­po­sium took place at the Beijing Four Sea­sons Ho­tel on Au­gust 29, draw­ing the par­tic­i­pa­tion of around a hun­dred guests from busi­ness cham­bers, em­bassies, in­ter­na­tional com­pa­nies and the me­dia.

Or­ga­nized by the Ja­panese Min­istry of Econ­omy, Trade and In­dus­try and sup­ported by the Ja­panese Em­bassy in Beijing and the China Cham­ber of Com­merce for Im­port and Ex­port of Ma­chin­ery and Elec­tronic Prod­ucts (CCCME), the sym­po­sium dis­cussed how to foster a win-win re­la­tion­ship be­tween the environment and busi­ness.

Hirobumi Iida, the min­is­ter for com­mer­cial af­fairs at the Ja­panese Em­bassy and Wang Guiqing, the vice pres­i­dent of the CCCME gave open­ing speeches.

The event dis­cussed the EGA’s impact on the econ­omy, so­lu­tions for en­vi­ron­men­tal is­sues and the EGA’s con­tri­bu­tion by in­dus­try.
