Moon­cake is the sym­bolic sug­ary snack that is en­joyed all-year-round but makes a vis­i­ble ap­pear­ance in the lead up to and dur­ing the Mid-Au­tumn Fes­ti­val in China. If you are in China, you can­not miss this les­son, where you will learn about this Fes­ti­val, which falls on Au­gust 15 in the Chi­nese Lu­nar cal­en­dar, be­cause it is a full moon night. Par­tic­i­pants could fill their moon­cakes with plenty of de­li­cious fla­vors, such as lo­tus paste and bean paste, and also with five dif­fer­ent ce­re­als. Then they will cook and eat them.
