Nepal: Em­bassy cel­e­brates Na­tional Day

The Nepalese Em­bassy in Bei­jing hosted a cer­e­mony to cel­e­brate its Na­tional Day at Swis­so­tel Bei­jing on Septem­ber - mats, me­dia and friendly groups at­tended the event. The Nepalese Am­bas­sador to China Leela Mani Paudyal gave a speech and spoke highly on the two coun­tries’ diplo­matic ties. “China is Nepal’s im­por­tant trade and de­vel­op­ment part­ner, a close neigh­bor and trusted friend,” he said. “Our re­la­tions have al­ways re­mained cor­dial and are based on friend­li­ness, mu­tual sup­port, un­der­stand­ing and an ap­pre­ci­a­tion of each other’s aspi­ra­tions and sen­si­tiv­i­ties.” Nepalese danc­ing and Chi­nese mu­si­cal per­for­mances were pre­sented. China’s As­sis­tant For­eign Min­is­ter Qian Hong­shan and Sec­re­tary of Na­tional Plan­ning Com­mis­sion of Gov­ern­ment of Nepal Bishnu Prasad Lam­sal also spoke at the event.
