UCCA Spring Fes­ti­val Ac­tiv­i­ties

In cel­e­bra­tion of the up­com­ing Spring Fes­ti­val and the tran­si­tion to the new year, the Ul­lens Cen­ter for Con­tem­po­rary Art (UCCA) presents a se­ries of per­for­mances, talks and work­shops fea­tur­ing artists who have re­shaped the un­der­stand­ing of tra­di­tional Asian art. Ti­tled Merid­ian, the three-day fes­ti­val is named after the tra­di­tional Chi­nese medicine’s model of a body criss­crossed by channels that trans­port qi and blood. The pub­lic is in­vited to join artists and per­form­ers to ex­plore the novel pos­si­bil­i­ties of tra­di­tional medi­ums, re-ex­am­ine their as­sump­tions about these medi­ums, and more.
