The Peak Winter Olympic Collection Release Conference themed “Meet the Peak Moment” took place in Beijing on January 31. During the event, the sports gear for representative teams from Brazil, Slovenia, New Zealand, Iceland, Ukraine and Romania sponsored by Peak Sport for The 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang were released.
All the winter sports gear, including clothing and shoes, is fitted with exclusive temperature control technology, also dubbed the “Olympic Technology,” Peak Sport’s innovative technology was created specifically for the athletes of the Winter Olympic Games to not only keep their bodies warm but to provide a breathable fabric, both of which are paramount to outdoor winter sports activities.
The CEO of Peak Sport Xu Zhihua said at the event that the temperature control technology is a breakthrough of protection against cold weather. Xu noted that the product is made up of three protective layers and finished with an outer waterproof and breathable coating.
Designers also incorporated symbolic elements and characteristics of the countries that the athletes represent on the gear. For example, the green used for the Slovenian gear represents the country’s capital Ljubljana, which is dubbed “a city with a green soul.” The triangular design on the clothing is a reflection of Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia, with an elevation of 2,864 meters.
The President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka attended the conference and spoke about how the Ukrainian Olympic team came together with Peak Sport. Bubka said that it is a very respectable thing that this Chinese brand has attained such high international vision and recognition. He also noted that Peak Sport’s choice to focus on making Olympic winter sports equipment is also an important factor as to why they chose to work with them.
Since Peak Sport originally initiated their plan to target Olympic sports in 2008, the company has become one of the most chosen Chinese sports brands in terms of collaboration with Olym- pic representative teams from different countries. Under the great push of this business strategy, Peak Sport has entered the market in nearly 100 countries and regions, ranking on the top of all Chinese sports brands in terms of sales rates for the past 10 years in a row.
Xu said that Peak Sport has received more and more recognition worldwide in terms of its brand and products. “In order to welcome the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, from 2018 to 2022 we will create exclusive technology that targets Winter Olympic sports and enable more and more regular consumers to experience the comfort and happiness of using our products while participating in winter sports,” Xu said.
