Global Times – Metro Beijing - - EMBASSY -

The Argentine Embassy in Beijing invited 25 Chinese students from the No.109 Middle School to paint with famous Argentine painter Milo Lockett on May 2. Since 2018 is the Year of the Dog, each student was given a model dog to paint and take home as a souvenir. Some of the students also got to help Lockett paint a model cow. “We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Argentine art to China and showcase Lockett’s view of art through cultural exchange,” Minister of the Argentine Embassy Juan Manuel Cortelletti said. “We really believe in cultural diplomacy. China and Argentina are very far away geographically speaking, but in promoting cultural exchange, we can be closer and understand each other better.” Lockett is in China on tour. His painting exhibition is on display at the 798 Art District from April 29 to May 12.
