Roca One Day Design Challenge comes to Beijing
The Roca One Day Design Challenge, a global competition for young professionals in the design and architecture sectors, is going to expand its competition arena to Beijing this year. Roca, the Spanish sanitary products company which started the activity, announced on Thursday during Design China Beijing.
The competition is open for designers under the age of 30, who will present their creativity and innovations during a set time of eight hours.
Started in 2012, Roca One Day Design Challenge has been held in 15 cities in Spain, the UK, Portugal, Russia, as well as Chinese cities like Hong Kong and Shanghai. Beijing will become the third city in China to hold the competition. The competition dates for the three cities will be on November 10 (Beijing), December 1 (Hong Kong) and December 8 (Shanghai).
Among the awards, is a special one “We Are Water Foundation” that is also set to raise participants’ awareness of environmental protection.
