“I asked a professional company for an appraisal, and their result showed the watch was completely fake.”

So said a woman surnamed Sun, who on Tuesday sued an online shopping platform for compensation for a fake second-hand Cartier watch she purchased in 2016. As of 2017, Sun had paid a total of 28,075 yuan ($4,056) using an installment payment plan. After finding out it was a fake, the platform refused her request for a refund, saying all sales with third-party vendors on their platform are final. As of press time, the case is still in court. (Source: The Mirror)
