Yuz Museum is honored to present Zhou Li’s solo exhibition

Shadow of the Wind starting February 25. It is the artist’s first solo exhibition after 16 years of exploration since her last solo exhibition in 2001. This exhibition will concentrate on her new paintings, made within the past two years. In a rectangular 1,000 squaremeter hall, the paintings along with a sound installation that will build a spatial field symbolizing a heart as the core of the exhibition. Rather than seeing them as still images, the lines and spaces of Zhou’s works move and change their sense of distance. The overall rhythm, the textures of the lines and a micro world opened up by details form different layers of visions. The beauty of her work is dignified and elegant, as it comes from her focus on the philosophy of mind and explorations of the inner conscience itself.
