Global Times – Metro Shanghai - - CLASSIFIEDS -

Curated by Kaimei Olsson Wang, The Weather War is the first large-scale solo exhibition in Asia of Swedish artists duo Bigerts & Bergström (Mats Bergart and Lars Bergström). It depicts their travels in tornado affected states in America, with their machine sculptures created to stop the tornado, through 22 works encompassing video, sculpture, installation, text and photograph. Over the past three decades, Bigerts & Bergström have become an outstanding representative of Swedish earth art and environmental art for their consistent focus on weather-related art projects. They approach the climate issue through scientific researches, historical facts and geo-engineering experiments expressed through their aesthetic imaginations.
