Over 90 pieces of diamond jew­elry were sent by a jew­elry store via ex­press de­liv­ery from Yibin, South­west China’s Sichuan Prov­ince, to Shang­hai re­cently, but along the way 42 pieces were “lost” and 32 pieces dam­aged, cost­ing the store nearly 200,000 yuan ($30,424.8), Shang­hai Morn­ing Post re­ported Wed­nes­day. Of­fi­cial courier industry com­pen­sa­tion stan­dards re­im­burse for only seven times the amount of the courier fee, with a max­i­mum of 1,000 yuan per or­der. The two sides are still ne­go­ti­at­ing on the is­sue.
