Consuls general in Shanghai prepare for upcoming event to strengthen trade exchanges
China International Import Expo (CIIE) will take place in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. The event provides new channels for countries and regions in trade exchanges and opportunities to enhance cooperation.
CIIE is regarded as a significant move to further open the Chinese market to the world. Enterprises from around 140 countries and regions have signed up thus far, including 160 Fortune-500 firms and industry leading enterprises, China Central Television (CCTV) reported on July 6.
The Global Times recently interviewed six consuls general in Shanghai to hear how their respective countries will engage in the event.
