The first world martial arts day held in Yangpu
Martial arts performances and activities were held in Shanghai’s Yangpu district on the first World Wushu-Kungfu Day, eastday.com reported Sunday.
August 11, 2018, is the first World Wushu-Kungfu Day. There are lectures, centennial culture exhibitions, kung fu demonstrations, and other performances, presenting a martial arts feast for kung fu fans, citizens and tourists worldwide.
This initial celebration of martial arts not only promotes China’s culture heritage, but it also presents the centurial accumulation of Shanghai style martial arts, and helps prepare for the 2019 World Wushu Championship.
The International Wushu Federation has decided that the first Saturday after August 8 every year is World Wushu-Kungfu Day to advocate the idea of a healthy life and global sharing.
