Macy’s sets up pop-up store at Beijing’s Sanlitun Taikooli
While fashionistas in Chengdu are still debating the possible locations British store Harrods will open in their city, their peers in Beijing have already begun shopping at a Macy’s pop-up store at the capital’s bustling Sanlitun Taikooli.
The Macy’s store, the company’s first in Beijing, introduces a select choice of over 100 products across more than 20 of the store’s brands.
According to April Gao, a marketing manager with Macy’s China, the display area at the store showcases new collections from Anna Sui X I.N.C. International Concepts that feature print, embroidery, lace and tassels.
In the store’s Street Power section, Macy’s brings must-have clothing from one of the world’s hottest brands, Champion, as well as must-buy American style clothing from designer brand Tommy Hilfiger.
Additionally, sportswear, kitchenware and accessories such as watches are also on sale at the store.
Getting with the digital age, the store has set up a special virtual fitting room. With a few clicks on some screens, fashionistas can try on different clothing items and accessories to mix and match their own style.
