Macy’s sets up pop-up store at Beijing’s San­l­i­tun Taikooli

While fash­ion­istas in Chengdu are still de­bat­ing the pos­si­ble lo­ca­tions Bri­tish store Har­rods will open in their city, their peers in Beijing have al­ready be­gun shop­ping at a Macy’s pop-up store at the cap­i­tal’s bustling San­l­i­tun Taikooli.

The Macy’s store, the com­pany’s first in Beijing, in­tro­duces a se­lect choice of over 100 prod­ucts across more than 20 of the store’s brands.

Ac­cord­ing to April Gao, a mar­ket­ing man­ager with Macy’s China, the dis­play area at the store show­cases new col­lec­tions from Anna Sui X I.N.C. In­ter­na­tional Con­cepts that fea­ture print, em­broi­dery, lace and tas­sels.

In the store’s Street Power sec­tion, Macy’s brings must-have cloth­ing from one of the world’s hottest brands, Cham­pion, as well as must-buy Amer­i­can style cloth­ing from de­signer brand Tommy Hil­figer.

Ad­di­tion­ally, sports­wear, kitchen­ware and ac­ces­sories such as watches are also on sale at the store.

Get­ting with the dig­i­tal age, the store has set up a spe­cial vir­tual fit­ting room. With a few clicks on some screens, fash­ion­istas can try on dif­fer­ent cloth­ing items and ac­ces­sories to mix and match their own style.
