M+ Screenings: This is Now
In collaboration with the British Film Institute National Archive, the M+ museum for visual culture at the West Kowloon Cultural District is screening a rarely seen program of 20 professionally restored Super 8 and 16mm films shot by British artists during the post-punk era, spread over six thematic programs which include “Home Taping,” “Performing the Self,” “Video Killed the Radio Star” and others. Through this traditionally lo-fi, DIY-inspired medium, art unfolds in vibrant kodachrome, set to the equally inventive sounds of Echo and the Bunnymen, The Human League and Adam Ant. Through Jul 10. Broadway Cinematheque, Prosperous Garden, 3 Public Square St., Yau Ma Tei. $65-85 from cinema.com.hk.
