Can­tonese Opera Demo

Can­tonese opera star Yuen Siu-fai leads a team of artists and mu­si­cians in a per­for­mance to in­tro­duce younger gen­er­a­tions to Can­tonese opera. They’ll be per­form­ing ex­cerpts from well­known works in­clud­ing “Un­der the Um­brella” from “The Moon Pav­il­lion” and “The Hunt” from “War and Never-end­ing Love.” Join them for a night and rel­ish the magic of an age-old tra­di­tion be­ing passed onto a bud­ding au­di­ence of Can­tonese opera-lovers. Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre, the 19th cen­tury tale of a young woman hus­tlin’ through life just try­ing to get hers, has been adapted for the stage by the Ab­so­lutely Fab­u­lous Theatre Con­nec­tion un­der the di­rec­tion of Michael Shar­mon. Jane has a trau­matic up­bring­ing, first or­phaned and then abused by her aunt. But through the guid­ance of a gentle teacher and the strength of her own con­vic­tions, she finds her­self gov­erness to a young French girl and meets the mys­te­ri­ous Mr. Rochester, who has a se­cret that may com­pro­mise her goals.
