YourMum Presents: Yumi Zouma, Yuk­ilo­vey and Merry Lamb Lamb

The Kiwi dream­pop four­some Yumi Zouma: made up of Sam Perry, Christie Simp­son, Josh Burgess and Char­lie Ry­der, heads to Hong Kong this Septem­ber for a one-off gig in re­cently opened in­die venue Café Hil­ly­wood. Hav­ing played with the likes of Lorde and Chet Faker, this is one gig Hong Kong hip­sters won’t want to miss. The band is sup­ported by lo­cal acts Yuk­ilo­vey and new­com­ers Merry Lamb Lamb. The Un­der­ground is ex­pand­ing into Wan Chai and de­but­ing with an all-ages event se­ries. Three bands are head­ing: Asyn­deton, a young alt-rock out­fit, will be fol­lowed by the Tur­ing Ap­ples, a nerd-rock group named af­ter the fa­ther of the com­puter, with a sound in­flu­enced by Ex­plo­sions in the Sky and Cari­bou. Hope­fully you won’t hear a sin­gle squeaky car­toon voice the whole night. The band is also rais­ing money for Hong Kong char­ity The Sunny Side Club.
