Jour­ney to the West Join the City Con­tem­po­rary Dance Com­pany and guest per­form­ers Gre­gory Charles Rivers and Jonathan Wong in this ex­cit­ing per­for­mance of “Jour­ney to the West.” This play­ful, kid-friendly in­ter­pre­ta­tion finds Mon­key trapped un­der the Five Fin­ger Moun­tain; Pigsy try­ing to the win the heart of the Gao fam­ily’s beau­ti­ful daugh­ter; and Trip­i­taka try­ing to keep his dis­ci­ples well be­haved as they head west. This year, Joseph Lee, a re­cent re­cip­i­ent of the Chin-Lin Award for Emerg­ing Chore­g­ra­pher and Felix Ke, for­mer res­i­dent of the Un­lock Danc­ing Plaza, take the stage with heart­felt duet and solo pieces drawn from their own ex­pe­ri­ences.
