A re­make of John Sturges’ 1960 West­ern epic (it­self a re­make of Kuro­sawa’s 1954 “Seven Sa­mu­rai”) about a group of seven gun­men (played by Den­zel Wash­ing­ton, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and oth­ers) in the Old West who help pro­tect a poor vil­lage against thieves. Opens Oct 13.


The Ac­coun­tant

In this new ac­tion thriller by Gavin O’Con­nor (“War­rior”), Ben Af­fleck plays a small-town ac­coun­tant who moon­lights for in­ter­na­tional crim­i­nal or­ga­ni­za­tions. Also star­ring Anna Ken­drick, Jef­frey Tam­bor, John Lith­gow and J.K. Sim­mons, it’s likely to be the most ex­cit­ing film about ac­count­ing this year. Opens Oct 13.




Based on the Stephen King hor­ror novel of the same name, John Cu­sack plays a New Eng­land dad who joins forces with Samuel L. Jack­son to find his fam­ily after a mo­bile sig­nal causes al­most ev­ery­one else to turn into zomb­i­fied mur­der­ers. Opens Oct 13. Mr. Right

Martha McKay (Anna Ken­drick) is an ec­cen­tric sin­gle girl who’s con­vinced she’s met the man of her dream in Sam Rock­well’s Fran­cis, a funny, warm guy who likes to cud­dle. Only flaw: He murders peo­ple for a liv­ing. Take­away? The next time bae tells you he’s a real la­dykiller, believe him. Opens Oct 13.
