Seafood Room

Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

Obviously no expense has been spared on the decor at Seafood Room, with sprawling interiors and a massive two-level outdoor area befitting a luxury seaside resort; it’s a perfect place to impress out-of-towners, clients or a date. The cocktails,on top of being gorgeously presented, are well balanced and crazily creative. Among 16 signature cocktails, the citrus vodka-based Gillardeau is a stunner that arrives in a ceramic shell with champagne foam and is intended to be consumed like an oyster—complete with a tomato-and-spice mix to drizzle on top. Kill the Kraken, meanwhile, is a rum-based drink with spiced fennel syrup and is served warm; it cascades and swirls in the glass under the glow of the table lamp and is truly a sight to behold. Service is chatty and genuinely friendly, and not at all with the all too common “we have to be here” mentality.
