Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

On a clear day or a clement evening, visitors to the 32nd-floor bar at the top of East hotel in Tai Koo can enjoy stunning views of Hong Kong’s harbour and the city’s many skyscrapers. Relax on the expansive deck to the sound of lounge music and choose from a good selection of wines hailing from various regions and countries, as well as bubbles should the occasion call for them. A considered cocktail list is comprised predominantly of the bar’s own creations. These are balanced in flavour, rarely overly sweet or sour, and often refreshing in keeping with the alfresco seating—additional soft seating indoors offers a comfortable respite from bad weather. With expert bartenders on hand, classic cocktails can easily be prepared, too, while the simple spirit-and-mixer drinker can delight in an expansive selection of bottles.
