Woobar

Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

Despite a slightly off-the-beaten-track West Kowloon locale, W Hotel’s Woobar attracts a diverse clientele eager to sip libations and enjoy the harbour view beneath its doubleheight ceilings. Welcoming bar staff gladly direct your attention towards the cocktails, which are organised into two succinct suites: classic and contemporary. Of these, the latter offers more interesting options with the Yuzu Blossom and the abominably monikered Asian Lady as the bar’s signatures. The first is a heady mix of sake, aged Japanese whisky, yuzu and a tantalising hint of wasabi, completed with a crisp sliver of apple. Wines are also accessible and hail largely from the New World, while spirits are extensive and champagne is free-flow.
