Atelier Swarovski set up a “Swarovski Palazzo” greenhouse in the spacious courtyard of Palazzo Serbelloni to display its 2018 collection. This year the atelier added a new collaborator to its fold—Milan-based Patricia Urquiola, whose first collection for the brand is the innovative Brillo range of containers. The vessels are made of fabric sturdy enough to stand on its own, to which mosaics of crystals are applied. Moulded into different shapes, the crystal-clad containers are visions of fluidity.
Other collaborators include British architect John Pawson, who brings his trademark minimalist look to a collection of vases, bowls and candle holders titled Vessels. Available in clear crystal, the vessels look deceptively simple and uniform but actually feature a pattern of irregular facets on closer inspection. swarovskigroup.com
