WHERE TO STAY: Aman New York

Hong Kong Tatler Weddings - - ESSENTIALS -

Opening in 2020, the Aman New York is destined to become a honeymoon hot spot for couples who love the buzz of the

Big Apple. Located at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, Aman’s second urban destination after Tokyo and its third property in the US brings the serenity of Aman right into the centre of Manhattan.

The hotel occupies the legendary Crown Building—the original home of the Museum of Modern Art in 1929—with 83 guest rooms and suites, 19 private residences and a five-storey private penthouse at the building’s pyramid-shaped top (should the newlyweds be interested in buying a second home). Guests arrive through the hotel’s 10th-floor Sky Lobby, and each spacious suite, starting at 753sqft, is fitted with a fireplace where couples can get cosy during the winter months.

At the three-storey Aman Spa, newlyweds can escape the fast pace of the city with a soothing couple’s spa treatment or spend time at the 20-metre indoor pool, flanked by daybeds and fire pits. The hotel also has plenty of dining venues where you can mingle with others, including Nama for Japanese cuisine, Arva for Italian dishes, a wraparound Garden Terrace overlooking Central Park, and the Wine Library, Cigar Bar and subterranean Jazz Club.
